She was predeceased by: her parents, John Salapka and Mary Salapka; her husband Karl Schaefer; and her siblings, Elizabeth Shustowicz, John Salapka and Billy Salapka.
She is survived by: her children, Louis C. Schaefer, Paul E. Schaefer and Jane Mary Schaefer-Green (Jay); her grandchildren, David Green, Jenny Green, Daniel Schaefer and Stephen Schaefer; her sister Ann Kern; and her cousins, Mary Bendick and Betty Bendick. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church.
