He is survived by: his wife Marcella Gutowski Kern; his children, Joseph (Nancy) of East Brunswick and Mary Deady (Jim) of Manalapan; his grandchildren, Melissa, Jessica, Emily, Brian, Edward, Steven and Jaime; and his great grandchild Lily.
