Speaks; his daughters, Dorothy Roberts (Selwyn), Kendall Smith-McCombs (David) and Melissa Smith-Withers; his grandchildren, Carlos, Shelley, Monique, Sheldon, Sakeena, David Jr., Maya, Haki, Brandon and Naja; his sisters, Dorothy Martin and Lena Murphy; and his friends, Carl Sewell and Tony Jackson. He is also survived by son; along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.
