He is survived by: his children, Emil Jr., Jeff (Elizabeth LaViola), James, Timothy (Regina Louise LaViola) and Mary Ann (Robert Cryoskie); his grandchildren, Anthony LaViola, Angela Schneider (Jonathan) and John (Beth LaViola); and his great grandchildren, Vonnie, Emilee, Jacob, Cole, Logan, Tanner and Evelyn.

Donations in lieu of flowers in Emil's name can be made to Fort Lee VFW, 250 Main Street, Fort Lee, NJ 07024.
