She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband James Hayes; her children, Jim Hayes (Karen) of Richmond, VA, Bill Hayes (Diane) of Anthem, AZ, John Hayes (Kathy) of Allendale and Mary Hayes of Paramus; and her sister Ellen Galda. She was also cherished by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
