It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean Nawyn of Paterson, New Jersey, who passed away on June 26, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Julianne Bello (Giuseppe Leone) of Morristown, Peggy Askew (Sean) of Franklin, Elizabeth Bello of Paterson and Daniel; her grandchildren, Tristan, Quintin and Lillian; and her siblings, Anita Schelhaas (Paul), Linda Algera, Bonnie Rodenburg, Gwen Lineweaver (Tom) and Edwin Nawyn. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Susan G. Komen breast cancer foundation in her memory.
