He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Best Davis and James Davis; and his brothers, Fred Best, Thomas Davis, Richard Davis and Glen Davis.

He is survived by: his children, Ron Davis, Rod Davis, Dawn Crawford, Celeste Dunham and Samoane Pelham; his grandchild Baby Melina; his siblings, James Davis, Willie Davis, Maggie Johnson, Barbara Davis and Hazel Davis; and his close friend Donna Conklin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
