He was predeceased by : his parents, Clara Mae and Jessie Perry, Sr.; his sisters, Daisy Mae Williams, Joann Ginn and Elaine Davis; and his brother-in-law John Ginn, Sr..

He is survived by : his children, Josie Windham Anissa Hankerson (Joseph), Cindy Perry (Frederick), Kimberly Perry (Xavier) and Jessie Perry III of Louisiana; and his siblings, Jean Sanders Love (David Love) of Amite, Ray Perry of Paterson, NJ and George Perry (Brenda) of Paterson, NJ. He is also survived by grandchildren including thirty-four great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
