Samuel Cortina Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Samuel Cortina of Pennington, New Jersey, born in Trenton, New Jersey, who passed away on February 6, 2021 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Luigi Cortina and Mary Cortina (DeReno); his wife Gilda Cortina (DiPastina); and his brother Gino. He is survived by: his siblings, Pasquale "Pat", Louis Cortina and Antonia Frascella (Cortina); his children, Dr. Gary A. Cortina (Leslie), Dr. Gregory S. Cortina (Donna), Jane R. Cortina-Demorest (Mark Demorest) and Dr. Karen G. Cortina Davis (Mike Davis); his grandchildren, Michael Cortina, Christopher Cortina (Jamie), Douglas Cortina, Brian Cortina (Cathie), Matthew Cortina, Lauren Williams (Jeff) and Gregory Davis (Rachel); his great grandchildren, Samuel, Ben, Julia, Lily, Rowen and Brooke; his sisters-in-law, Florence (Andy DePativo) and Dorothy Cortina (Gino); and his cousin Pasqualino "Lino" Cortina (Geri). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

He was a member and Official Emeritus of the Delaware Valley Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame.
