He is survived by: his wife Rizalina S. Causing; and his children, Amy (Scott Spelker), Myla Causing (Todd Versaw), Aileen Causing Graf (Steve Leary), Jennifer Causing (Peter Waanders) and Alan Causing (Michael Diorio). He is also survived by nine grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers a contribution can be made to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton in his honor.
