He is survived by : his wife Katherine Brandt Patterson; his children, Andrea Lam (David), Richard C. Patterson and Michael Patterson (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Aidan Lam, Ava Schwab, Zoe Lam, Enza Patterson and Liam Patterson; his sister Kathleen Lane (David); and his nieces and nephews, Kristen McGinn (James), Jill Rafine (Ronald), Mary T. (Joseph), Matthew Lane (Georgia) and Johnny Brandt.
