He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henry Shepard Sr. and Birdie Parron-Shepard; and his siblings, Thelma Stark, Eric Shepard, Anna Shepard and Anthony Shepard.
He is survived by: his significant other Joan Riley; his siblings, Brenda Harper, Ronald Shepard and Marcus Shepard; his siblings' children, Guy and Thomas Harper; and his pet Louie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
