She was predeceased by: her husband Agustin Portuhondo; her parents, Maria Vargaz and Florencio Cruz; and her sons, Oscar and Pedro Pablo.

She is survived by: her children, Gustavo, Jose Agustin, Danny, Juan Luis, Ramona, Ana Silvia, Griselda, Alejandrina, Eudocia and Belkis. She is also survived by 33 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.
