He is survived by: his wife Paulina Valdez; and his children, Jose Ignacio Valdez, Juan Carlos Valdez, Danny Valdez, Antonia Valdez, Olga Valdez, Margarita Valdez and Maria Francisca Valdez. He is also survived by 6 siblings, 25 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
