He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis Vargas; and his father Miguel Angel Vargas. He is survived by: his daughter Melissa Vargas (Bernard Hernandez); his mother Blanca Elidia Vargas; and his sisters, Donna Vargas and Carmen Arroyo. He is also survived by 4 nieces and 2 nephews.
