He was predeceased by: his parents, Istvan Halasz and Gizella Halasz; and his siblings, Vera Farkas, Istvan and Jozsef Halasz.
He is survived by: his wife Hilda Halasz (Margl); his children, Louis J. Halasz (Pam) of Somerset and Michele Halasz of Fords; his sisters, Panni Bognar of Hungary and Borbela Zsambo of Hungary; his granddaughters, Rachel, Alexia and Mariska; his mother-in-law Mary Margl; and his brothers-in-law, Peter and Jim. He is also survived by two nieces and one nephew.
