With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Luz Cruz Traverso of Perth Amboy, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 31, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Sofia Rodriguez, Manuel Cruz Traverso, Josephine "Chefo" Serrano, Sarah Cruz Traverso, Miguel Cruz Traverso, Felipe Cruz Traverso and Alberto Cruz Traverso.
She is survived by: her children, Raul Lopez, Sandra Lopez, Carolyn Cana Lopez, Angel Lopez Mendez and Jean Mendez; and her sister Maria Cruz Scharon. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home (419 Barclay St, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Rosehill Cemetery (792 E Edgar Rd, Linden, NJ 07036).
