He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Angel Luis and Anna Maria Cruz; his former wife Betty Ann Liska Reyes of Bridgewater; his children, Manuel Cruz, Jr. of Middlesex and Elizabeth Ann Caiazzo (Sheldon) of Bridgewater; his brother Nicholas "Nicky" Cruz (Aida) of Perth Amboy; and his grandchildren, Delilah Garcia, Mason Caiazzo and Noah Caiazzo.
