He was predeceased by: his parents, Meayus Almasi and Frida Almasi. He is survived by: his daughter Susan Almasi; his brothers, George and Victor Almasi; his wife Rose Shu; his child Thomas Almasi (Marni Sucher); his grandson Alexander Sabastiani; his siblings' child Andreas (Barbara Almasi); and his cousin James Altman.
