He is survived by : his spouses, Patricia T. Cowan and Pat; his children, Edward P. Cowan, Diane F. Cowan, Robert M. Cowan, Jeanette M. Ward, Nancy Cowan and Kim Cowan; his grandchildren, Jonathan Hall, Scott Cowan, Bryan Cowan, Stephanie Cowan, Monica Poulsen and Veronica Ward; and his great grandchild Gryffin Poulsen.
