She was predeceased by : her parent William Alexander; her sibling Andrew Herndon; and also Joseph Francis Buchanan. She is survived by : her parent Nellie Rose Herndon (Kelley); her sibling Daniel E. Herndon; her son William J.; her daughter-in-law Angela Buchanan; and her granddaughters, Paige Sabrina and Courtney Patricia Buchanan.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Lung Association.
