He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Richard Sprankel and Elizabeth Sprankel; his wife Marie; his children, Lynn (Michael), Laura (Albert) and Mark (Marianne); his grandchildren, Laura (Stephanie), John, James (Courtney), Emily, Allie and Sean; and his niece Suzanne.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
