She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Kendrick and Henrietta Kendrick (Maund); her brother Richard Kendrick; her husband Dr. Edward Wilmot Blyden III; and her children, Babatunde Blyden, Isa Blyden, Bai-Bureh Blyden, Fenda Blyden-Akiwumi, Eluem Blyden, Eddie Blyden, Nemata Blyden-Bickersteth, Glenys Blyden, Akitoye Akiwumi and Christopher Bickersteth.

She is survived by: her daughter Henrietta Blyden.
