She was predeceased by: her brother David MacRae. She is survived by: her husband George W. Goward (Bill); her children, Beverly Adams, Kathleen Goward, William Goward (Marilyn), Janice Goward-Cruz (Luis) and James Goward; her grandchildren, Nicole Andrews (Steve), Ryan Heffernan (Karyn), Christopher Goward (Roxanne), Shane Heffernan and Olivia Heffernan (Ike); her great grandchildren, Andrew, Tyler (Chris), Adelina, Charlotte (Nicole) and Sloane Eloise (Ryan); her sibling's children, Marlene, Betty, Jean and David; and her sister-in-law Martha MacRae.
Helene Tremaine MacRae Goward died of COVID-19 at Yale New Haven Hospital on Wednesday, April 15, 2020.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America and The Connecticut Food Bank.
