She was predeceased by: her parents, Josephine Recke (Sloan) and Henry Recke Sr.; her daughter Kathryn Ireland; and her sisters, Elizabeth Pirone and Gloria O'Beirne.
She is survived by: her husband Anthony J. Krystaponis Jr.; her children, Ann Marie Barnwell, John (Lisa Krystaponis III) and Michael (Michelle Krystaponis); and her siblings, Henry Recke Jr., Mary Jo (Orville Bell), Linda (Joe Luther) and Henrietta Recke. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad in Marie's name.
