He was predeceased by: his wife Judi; and his brother Steve. He is survived by: his sibling's children, Jean Birmer-May, Janet Von Dohlen, John Birner and Jennifer Flannery; his sister-in-law Ann Marie Birner; and his cousin Caroline Messina. He is also survived by two great nephews, four great nieces.
