With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Valerie A. McKinney in Princeton, New Jersey, born in Lakewood, Ohio, who passed away on May 19, 2025 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Wanda G. Talmage (Richardson) and Jack H. Berger. She is survived by: her husband James "Jim" McKinney; her children, Mitchell McKinney (Nancy) and Ellen Vandeloo (Greg); her grandchildren, Madelyn McKinney, Harper Vandeloo, Maxwell McKinney and Olivia Vandeloo; her siblings, Gregory Berger (Phoebe), Jeff Berger and Nancy Johnson; her siblings' children, Fritz Schaub (Elizabeth), Rachel Johnson and David Johnson (Ginny); her sister-in-law Susan Laurence; and her daughter Scout.
