He was predeceased by: his siblings, Guy Murriell Jr., Essie Lee Murriell (Daughety), WIlliam "Doc" Murriell, Ashley "Ash" Murriell and Ella Murriell (Hodges); his wife Gloria Murriell; and his son Michael Knordle.
He is survived by: his former wife Hazel Humphrey; and his children, Norman Humphrey, Larry Murrell (Brenda Murrell), Guy Murriell, Claudett Miller, Andrea Murriell, Fawn Knordle (Jim), Keisha Murriell, Sonjirey Murriell and Tracie Murriell. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 16 great- grandchildren, 7 great- great- grandchildren, host of nieces, nephews and friends.
