He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Schwartz and Elizabeth Schwartz; and his siblings, Frank, Theresa Drabik, Elizabeth Carrer and Anne Pietrucha.

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Schwartz (Eckert); his children, Thomas and Lisa LaForte (Chris); and his grandson Joseph. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
