She was predeceased by: her parents, Antonio Varano and Marianna Samà; her husband Settimio Vespa; her daughter Maddalena "Mina" Vespa (DeSanctis); her grandson Neils Christensen; and her siblings, Vincenzo, Andrea and Vittoria Varano.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mariateresa Vespa and Anna Christensen (Neils); her grandchildren, Monica Christensen Ryan (Chris) and Sandro Anello; her great grandchild Jasen Ryan; and her sister Teresa Varano (Lijoi). She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the John E. Day Funeral Home (85 Riverside Ave, Red Bank, NJ 07701). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Anthony of Padua RC Church (121 Bridge Ave, Red Bank, NJ 07701). An entombment was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 12:20 PM to 12:40 PM at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery (100 Chapel Hill Rd, Red Bank, NJ 07701).
