He was predeceased by: his daughter Anne Silver; his sister Alice; and his stepson Tom Gilbert, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Judith; his children, Beth Forman (Dean), Kevin (Nina) and Jeremy (Josephine Solis); his son-in-law Paul Silver; his stepson Chris Gilbert (Janet); and his sister June Taylor. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.
