He is survived by: his wife Gayle Claire Wortman Carter; his children, Tamnika Carter, Josolyn Julia Carter (Joseph), Bryan Alexander Carter, Damon Carter (Kim) and Charles Carter Jr. (Tasha); his grandchildren, Bryan, Indy, D'andre, Mariyaa, Sierra, Jazmyn, Mkye, Da'nasia, Sydney, D'myah, Kayla and Brandon; his siblings, Diane Fullman, William and Gregory Carter; and his brother-in-law James Dortch. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
