He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret A. Gibbs-James and Berkeley J. James, Sr.; and his brothers, Ronald H. James, Sr. and Berkeley J. James, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Maryleata A. Bolden-James; his children, Roland J. James, Jr. (Antionette) of Willingboro, NJ, Kimberley James of Union, NJ and Michelle A. James-Harris (Robert) of Fairburn, GA; his grandchildren, Breanna Durham, Travis James, Joshua James, Cierra Harris, Jordan Harris, Quadree L. Brown and Cory J. Durham (CJ); his great grandchild Aayad Brown; and his friend Cory Durham. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Second Baptist Church (200 Locust St, Roselle, NJ 07203). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
