He is survived by : his wife Christine Carter; his stepsons, Jesse Carter (Charlene), Joshua Carter, Kyshia Lewis, Taijha (Kareem), Terry Morgan (Ashley) and Raymond Morgan; his grandchildren, Nathaniel Carter, Isaiah Carter, KaNija Kent, Julia Carter, Camorra, Terraya, Destiny, Nevaeh, Andrea, Terry Jr. and Kareem; and his siblings, Thelma Harcum, Elaine Murray, Willie Carter, Nevis Carter Jr., John Carter (Vergie), Frank Carter (Jerri), Beal Carter (Debbie), Hazel Hightower, Helen Rainner (Joe), Wayne Carter (Giulia), Herbert Carter, Lena Johnson Sr. (Nedd) and Howard Carter (Gwen). He is also survived by two sons, two daughters.
