He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth Ross; his brother-in-law Billy Lunney; his granddaughter Michelle Winand Fawcett; his parents, James Ross and Catherine Ross; and his siblings, James, Peter Ross, Margaret Adam, Sadie Gay and Jeanette Black.
He is survived by: his children, Irene Ross (Steve Oppenlander), Sandra Ross, Carol Gottschalk (Gary), Lynn Mercado (Corbett), John Ross (Jennifer) and James Ross (Tracey); and his sisters-in-law, Alice Ross, Evelyn Hewitson, Rena Bell, Sheila, Helen Dempsey and Greta Dempsey. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Donations can be made in John's memory to the Bergen County Meals on Wheels program or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
