He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Helen Liddell (O'Dea); his daughter Beth Malleo; his parents, John Liddell and Mary Liddell (Mulhern); and his brothers, David, John, Joseph and James Liddell.
He is survived by: his children, Robert of Las Vegas, NV, Margaret Amrhein (Daniel) of Johnstown, PA and Kathleen Mulcahy (Robert) of Wall; his son-in-law Mike Malleo of Garfield; and his grandchildren, Christopher Malleo (Ashley), Matthew Malleo (Kaitlynn), Jacqueline Malleo, Courtney Swartzel (Brett), Megan Bakkala (Jason), Brittany Amrhein, Carly Bogden (Josh), Griffin and Molly Mulcahy.
Donations may be made in his name to St. Mary's High School in Rutherford.
