He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Sr. and Susan Murphy, Sr.; his siblings, Bob Murphy (Rene) and Cory Murphy; his siblings' children, Robbie and Shaelynn; and his grandparents, Wesley Wall and Joann Wall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Doug's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
