Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Margaret Sawicz of Sayreville, New Jersey, born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, who passed away at the age of 92, on December 13, 2025. She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond J Sawicz, Sr.; her parents, George Nimetz and Mary Nimetz; and her siblings, Charlie Nimetz, George Nimetz, Michael Nimetz, Ann Giles, Mary Morvay, Rose Sabo, Lillian Sadowski and Dorothy Orender.
She is survived by: her children, Ann Marie McCaffrey and Raymond Sawicz Jr.; her daughter-in-law Roberta Sawicz; her grandchildren, Tabitha, Clinton Sawicz, Diane Natusch, Kimberly Kuzma and Robert Rathbun; her great grandchildren, Tiffany Barnes-Borland, Bianca Petersen, Bailey Natusch, Richard Kuzma III, Scarlet and June Sawicz; and her siblings, Daniel Nimetz and Darlene Kondas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM, at 7:00 PM and on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 9:00 AM. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mitruska Funeral Home (23 Ford Ave, Fords, NJ 08863). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church (145 Broad St, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. John the Baptist Orthodox Cemetery - New Section (145 Broad St, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861).
