It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Kawalec Jr. of Sayreville, New Jersey, born in South Amboy, New Jersey, who passed away on October 18, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter and Adele; his sister Dorothy Zarzyczny; and his daughter Laura Schubert. He is survived by: his wife Constance Kulczynski; his children, Donna Cardaneo (James) and Joseph Kawalec (Jeannine); his grandchildren, Erik Schubert (Haley), Emily Schubert (Brett Johnson), Kassia O'Brien (Charles), William Kawalec, Jacob Kawalec and Sophia Adele Kawalec; and his great grandchildren, Lillian and Liam Schubert. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home (15 Cherry Ln, Parlin, NJ 08859). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Victories RC Church (42 Main St, Sayreville, NJ 08870).
