He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Park (William Russell) and Cliffside Park; and his wife Joan. He is survived by: his children, Mark Russell (Mary), Brian Russell, Chris Russell (April), Cheryl Bendokas (Marty), Debbie Siragusa (Ben) and Leslie Celebre (Jeff); his grandchildren, Anthony, Veronica, Jessica, Brian Jr., Kayla, Cory, Matthew, Jake, Benny, Nicholas, Steven, Jennifer and Rocco; and his great grandchildren, Cooper, Harper and Aubree. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Piscataway Funeral Home (18 Stelton Rd, Piscataway, NJ 08854). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Frances Cabrini RC Church (2058 Bound Brook Avenue, Piscataway, NJ).
In lieu of flowers, the Russell family has asked that donations be made in Edward's name to either the Piscataway PBA Local 93, checks can be made out to PBA Local 93, and mailed to P.O. Box 575, Piscataway, NJ 08855, or to Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
