He was predeceased by : his son Michael John Elia. He is survived by : his wife Lucille A. Elia; his son Christopher (Kathleen Yates); his daughter-in-law Angela Nigro; his granddaughter Gianna; his sister Barbara A. Anderson (Robert); and his nieces, Danielle Awadalla (Sam) and Heather Anderson DeRocco (David Nissel). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Leukemia Foundation, honoring Michael's compassionate spirit.
