He was predeceased by : his parents, George Athanasiadis and Eleni Athanasiadis. He is survived by : his wife Ida Athans; his children, Elaina Athans of Raleigh and Dimitri Athans (Caitlin); his granddaughter Mila of Cumming, Georgia; his son Giorgio Athans (Candice) of Washington Township; his brother Elias (Chrisoula Athans) of Vineland; and his nephews, George (Cristal), Athanasios (Eshwary) and Vasilios Athans. He is also survived by aunts, uncles.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests a donation to St. Anthony's Greek Orthodox Church.
