He was loved and cherished by many people including : his sons, Carl and Lester; his wife Betty; his mother Ruth; his mother-in-law Sudie Williams; his children, Sharon Shelton Robinson, Samuel R Shelton Jr., Susan Shelton-Puckett and Scott Shelton; his grandchildren, Larissa Morgan (Julio), Corey Shelton, Samuel Puckett, William Puckett and Sarah Shelton; his great grandchildren, Brielle Morgan and Saige Morgan; his niece Kara Shelton; and his nephew Eric Shelton. He was also cherished by cousins and friends.
