She is survived by: her parents, Kwabina Appiah and Audrey Appiah of Montebello, NY; and her siblings, Kwaku, Christopher Appiah, Tania Dougal and Vickie Dougal-Dennis. She is also survived by two nieces and three nephews.

She also did a lot of volunteer work for the non-profit organizations in healthcare, including the West African Health Foundation.
