She was predeceased by: her sister Virginia Hanible. She is survived by: her children, Gail Alford, Beverly Chestnut and Earnestine Spates-Burrell; her husband Earnest Spates; her grandchildren, Desmen Spates, Cornell Chestnut, Byron Hand, Jamiah McPherson, Destiny Burrell and Enisley Burrell Jr.; her great grandchildren, Amari Chestnut, Elijah Spates, Kimora Spates, London Hand, Jovan Hand and Wynter Hand; and her daughters-in-law, Nicole Chestnut, Danielle Hand and April Spates. She is also survived by mother, faithful wife, and Nana to her grandchildren.
