She was predeceased by: her parents, Louise Franco and Jerome Lama; her stepfather Peter Franco; and her sisters, Rose Marie "Chickie" O'Neill and Geraldine "Gerry" Lamperelli.
She is survived by: her husband Mike; her children, Michelle Capasso Ohrel and Frank "Chip" Capasso; her children-in-law, Jason Ohrel and Lori Capasso; and her grandchildren, Lindsey Marie James, Danielle Nicole James and Michael Peter Capasso.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to made in loving memory of Rita to the Bergen County Animal Shelter and Teterboro, NJ 07608 or Popcorn Park Zoo- 1 Humane Way, Forked River, NJ 08731.
