It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susan Christine Martin of Tinton Falls, New Jersey, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on March 4, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Susan Christine may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Susan Christine touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Hopping (Bob) and Isabel Madsen (Betty); and her siblings, Christopher Madsen, Muffy Hall and Carolyn Cushman.
She is survived by: her sons, Eric Bartenstein (Wendy) and Kurt Bartenstein (Kristy); her sister Elizabeth; and her grandchildren, Peter, Emily, Anna, Gretchen, Abbey and Brody. She is also survived by special friends, cousins, nieces and nephews, a sister…but above all by her sons and their wives and her grandchildren.
