He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael O'Brien and Mary O'Brien; his brothers, Patrick, Garrett and Michael; and his sons, Desmond and Michael.
He is survived by: his wife Annie 'Nancy' Walsh; his siblings, Mary Dempsey of Arklow and Matthew of Baltinglass; his children, Mary O'Brien (Gio), Colleen Farrington (Jimmy), John O'Brien (Susan) and Kevin O'Brien (Melissa); his daughters-in-law, Janice and Evelyn; his grandchildren, Anne Marie, Breanna, Brigitte, Brendan, Adeline and Collin; and his great grandchildren, Danica and Madelyn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
