He was predeceased by: his father Salvatore Sole. He is survived by: his wife Annamaria Sole of Totowa; his children, Salvatore Sole (Sara Tencza) of Totowa, Jessica Sole of Totowa, Daniella Sole of Totowa, Alyssa Sole of Totowa and John Sole, Jr. of Totowa; his mother Lydia D. Sole of Totowa; his siblings, Gina Seakan (Raymond) of Point Pleasant and Peter Sole of Totowa; his parents-in-law, Carmela and Panfilo Casasanta of Port St; his siblings-in-law, Vicki Conklin (James), Nicola Casasanta (Dana) and Phil Casasanta (Deanna); and his pet Scrappy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
