With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Josephine Lagos Naspinski of Totowa, New Jersey, born in Manhattan, New York, who passed away on January 13, 2023 at the age of 103. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Josefina Lagos Besteiro; and also Mercedes. She is survived by: her father Antonio Lagos; her former husband Joe; her daughter Mercedes Baron; her husband Michael Naspinski; her siblings, Carmen Signes, Manuel Lagos, Vicky Goetz, Dolores Ball and Charles Lagos; her daughters, Avis Neary, Arlette Braman (Jim Strocchia) and Michelle Ubben (Matt); her grandchildren, Jeff, Michael Neary, Callan, Abigail Braman, Caroline Coster, Josh McLawhorn, Caroline Scott, Matthew and Jack Ubben; her children, Caroline, Josh, Matt Ubben and Matthew; and her granddaughter Grace Josephine. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
Family and friends also gathered from across the state and the country to attend her 100th birthday celebration two months before the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown. She later contracted and survived COVID-19.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Big Bend Hospice.
